Julian Brown aka naturejab is one of the most brilliant, and diligent; scientists working with Pyrolysis around fracturing of complex hydrocarbon chains in plastics back into usable gasses and fuels. Side note the technology has been around for who knows how long and was traditionally used for wood gas. Smokeless fire pits and burners burn clean by igniting the wood gas we typically think of as smoke.
